Pre-Op
Holding Room:
This is the Pre-Operation Holding Room
on the second floor. In this room you
will see cool beds with wheels called
"gurneys" and there will be
a nurse that will measure you to see how
tall you are weigh you to see how much
you weigh. The nurse will also check your
temperature to make sure that you do not
have a fever and she’ll check your
blood pressure to see how much oxygen
is getting to your body. Don't worry,
these things will not hurt. In this room
you will also meet your doctor. Do you
remember your doctor's name? You will
also meet a special doctor called an Anesthesiologist.
He has a very important job to give you
special medicine called "Anesthesia."
